Auxiliary cabinets

Our typical electrostatic precipitator power supply switchgear consists of power supply control cabinets and auxiliary cabinets, for example, for feeder bay, rapper motor control, heating and auxiliary electrical system, master controller.

BELOS-PLP S.A. usually makes cabinets of this type on the basis of individual designs consistent with the customer's electrostatic precipitator installation design.

The feeder bay cabinet has generally two power supply sources (main and stand-by), equipped with cut-outs or breaker switches through which the gallery of bus ducts is powered. The cabinet has functions enabling voltage, current and energy consumption measurements.

The rapper cabinet contains control and protection circuits for the electrostatic precipitator collecting and discharge electrode rappers. The motors can be controlled with a signal from the voltage regulators located in the power supply unit cabinets, PLC master controller or a local MSS-1 rapper controller.

The heating and auxiliary electrical system cabinet includes power supply and control circuits used for heating suspension and rotary insulators as well as ash hoppers, and auxiliary installation power supply circuits. The operation of the heaters is controlled by local temperature controllers or the PLC master controller.

The controller cabinet is usually used for larger installations, where it is not possible to mount the master controller in a cabinet of another type (for example, in rapper cabinets). Apart from the PLC controller components, it also includes circuits for signal matching, separation and multiplication.

The identical design of auxiliary and power supply unit cabinets makes it possible to set them up as a single electrostatic precipitator switchgear unit supplied by a common gallery of bus ducts.
